"Teach that students may become their own teacher. Let us feed our pupils with the right food so that time will come when they will be able to provide their own food."

- St. Augustine of Hippo (Serm.155,3,3)

Trinity's cottage school program is a literature and Christian worldview academic supplement program for homeschooling families. Classes engage with both Christian and secular "Great Books" throughout history drawn from age appropriate book suggestions in sources like The Well Trained Mind, Ambleside, and Veritas Press.

The Junior class is introduced to the stories and ideas of these great works, while the Intermediate and Senior classes read the primary sources themselves. We seek to develop a Christian Worldview in students through interaction with these foundational documents in Western Literature.

The Intermediate and Senior classes include graded assignments and testing, and provide a report card at the end of each semester which families can use as a "credit" in their homeschooling records.

Parents, please note that some of the works the Intermediate and Senior class will read may deal with mature subjects and elements not always consistent with Christian teaching. We do not celebrate those elements of the works. Rather, our aim is to guide students in interacting with these works through a Christian worldview.

Here is an article you can read explaining this approach to classic works.

We offer classes for age 4 - grade 12 on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 am - 11:15 am. Classes will run 31 weeks this school year.

Our curriculum is on a 4 year class rotation which can be seen in the link below. 2026/27 is YEAR B.
